Part of my approach to recovering from ungrounding non-dual spirituality involves a symbiosis of somatic grounding, and framework de-& reconstruction
There's a symbiotic relationship between ungrounded/ungrounding metaphysical beliefs about the nature of self & reality and somatic un-groundedness/dissociative effects, and getting grounded involves breaking that feedback loop where they re-inforce each other. Challenging and replacing the ungrounded beliefs about the nature of self and reality, with a new grounded ones, helps us re-associate with our embodied sense of self, and feel grounded in solid reality!
First, when relevant, we would focus on immediate grounding, and when you're no longer in an acute ungrounded state, we can look under the hood and start loosening the grip of the negation-based, reductionist beliefs, and exploring alternate views, and the resulting ways of experiencing reality. We'll explore alternative paradigms of identity, self and reality that support the re-emergence and conscious construction of a revitalized personal sense of self/soul.
A new framework of reality and worldview is tantamount and that often involves a fresh interpretation of the experiences you’ve had - seeing the conclusions you were taught are not the only valid ones to draw! Doing this requires unpacking authoritarian models of "ultimate" truth, such that it doesn't need to be about determining the actual "ultimate truth" but more like let’s explore a self and world affirming worldviews that feel compelling and trustworthy. We also explore shifting to a new set of criteria for choosing worldviews, for example the extent to which they support humanistic values, and holistic health. A great deal of focus will be on empowering choice over how you want to conceive of and perceive reality.
