Authoritarian- describes "belief systems that are unchallengeable, and include the idea that someone or something other than the individual necessarily knows what’s best, or right, or proper for a given person." Not all authority is authoritarian.
Renunciation - the formal rejection of something, typically a belief, claim, or course of action.
Synonyms: Rejection, denial, abandonment
Morality
- a particular system of values and principles of conduct, especially one held by a specified person or society.
-principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior.
Moral values include: acceptance; charity; compassion; cooperation; courage; dependability; due regard to the feelings, rights, traditions and wishes of others; empathy; equality; fairness; fidelity; forgiveness; generosity; giving pleasure; good sportsmanship; gratitude; hard work; humility.
Negation - The denial of something.
Synonyms: Nullification, cancellation, erasure.
Guru - “Although the concept of guru comes from a traditional Eastern framework, the dynamics of power in that position are largely applicable to any group with an unchallengeable leader. So throughout this book, the word “guru” is also used to refer to leaders (no matter what they are called) whose unchallengeability is not primarily based on physical coercion.”
Reductionism -An approach in which everything can be explained by reducing complex phenomena to their simplest component parts.
Material Reductionism - An approach that reduces all non-material phenomena to the material.
Spiritual Reductionism - An approach that reduces all material phenomena to the immaterial.
Uniduality- The co-arising and interwoven nature of separateness and oneness.
Unividuals - Individuals who know that they are both separate from and one with other individuals.
Awakening - An experience and/or process of becoming aware of a previously unknown dimension or quality of reality that creates a significant shift in one's understanding and perception of themselves, reality, and their relationship with it, and ushers in a surprisingly new way of perceiving reality.
