All of these can be seen clearly in Neo-Advaita and either/or, negation-based non-duality, and it gives new meaning to these notions!
nihil = nothing
Nihilism:
-the belief that all values are baseless and that nothing can be known or communicated. It is often associated with extreme pessimism and a radical skepticism that condemns existence. A true nihilist would believe in nothing, have no loyalties, and no purpose other than, perhaps, an impulse to destroy."
-Extreme skepticism maintaining that nothing in the world has a real existence. (become skeptical about your own existence)
-The belief that all values are baseless and that nothing can be known or communicated.
Nihilistic depression: suppresses the feelings (positive and negative) that go with recognition of meaning. Depression can be thought of as rage turned inward. It tries to kill your passionate response to reality. (nonduality gets co-opted by this, anger towards existence itself)
Annihilation:
Annihilist: "Someone who destroys any intelligent concept which another person describes and prescribes a tone implying defiantly that they are right. An annihilist is not afraid to burn bridges with associates by tearing them down, using this negative behavior as a source of adrenalin."
Optimistic Nihilism: Looks at a world lacking meaning and purpose and sees the opportunity to create their own. Optimistic nihilism can be an incredibly empowering belief. In embracing it, you have the power to change your experience from a negative one to a positive one. (Sadly, Neo discourages the creation of meaning and purpose altogether.)
Pessimistic Nihilism: “it is futile to seek or to affirm meaning where none can be found."

Annihilation:
- The act of destroying or otherwise turning into nothing, or nonexistence
- The act of destroying the form or combination of parts under which a thing exists, so that the name can no longer be applied to it
- The state of being annihilated
